I was looking to develop a technical mindset that will allow me to quickly progress in any programming language. After researching more coding bootcamps in Europe, I decided that Makers was the right place to equip myself with these skills.
No matter how much you love coding, being dedicated to it 7 days a week for a full 4 months is an intense experience. Being required to complete weekend coding challenging every week was extremely challenging. But in the end, I felt all the effort I put in was worthwhile and I felt prepared to take on a developer job.
It’s worth investing in something that will empower you to code and follow your passion. I can’t imagine my life without coding anymore.
Now, I work at Jigsaw XYZ a start-up using today’s technology to bring together individuals and companies in the right way, giving people power over their data, matching their needs with what companies can provide and offering companies insights about what’s next.
Until changing careers, I felt like my work wasn’t making a big impact on the world. I am now very excited that I can contribute and be part of all the big future changes that technology will bring to our lives. Makers was challenging and very intense, but at at the same time fantastic and life changing.
Coding and attending a bootcamp is not an easy road. Try learning by yourself beforehand to make sure coding is something you really enjoy. Also… it’s never too late to change careers, look at me!“
