Content

Learning Techniques – Everyone learns in their specific way but is it always the most effective? In this section we’ll introduce a range of different learning techniques to give you a broader range of methods to use when you’re struggling.

Problem Decomposition – Knowing how to break down a coding problem is the first step towards solving it but when you’re faced with a wall of error messages it can be difficult to know where to begin. In this section guide you through the step by step process of problem decomposition and set you tasks to practice.

How to structure your day mentally and physically – This part of the session we’ll lay out how to structure your day effectively to optimise your learning. This is a key skill for if you’re about to join the bootcamp.

Q&A – Finally, it’s over to you. Please feel free to ask us any questions about the content of todays session, life as a Makers student, finding a job or anything else relevant to support your journey into tech.

Learners will also be provided with a host of resources to support the session and to help you continue your learning

If you sign up for Makers paid 16 week bootcamp after attending this course, we’ll remove the £35 you paid for ‘Intro to Makers’ from your course fees. Details of this will be included in your confirmation email after you register. Note, if you’ve attended the ‘Intro to coding’ four session course, you do not need to attend this as the material will have already been covered.
